Delta has a better lounge product over United and American. The clubs have showers (which United has removed), and better catering than their competitors. I’ve previously been to the T4 Sky Club which was impressive. The space was large and even had an outdoor sky deck. This was my first time at the Delta Sky Club in JFK T2. Terminal 2 is exclusive to Delta domestic flights and this lounge isn’t as impressive at T4 but still was nice.

Review: DL PHL-JFK Delta One
Date: Thursday May 25
Flight: 1400
Aircraft: B757-200
Origin: PHL
Destination: JFK
Seat: 2A Delta One
Scheduled Push Back: 4:55 PM
Actual Push Back: 12:18 AM (+1)
This was my first flight with Delta in six years. I remember the last time I flew Delta was the day after my summer internship in 2011. I flew LGA-SLC-SJC. On the return the flight was oversold and I was offered a voucher and a bus ride to SFO for a similar timed departure.
I booked this flight as I didn’t want to take Amtrak or drive to NYC. Additionally, United pulled out of JFK which according to new president Scott Kirby was a mistake.
Review: DL PHL Sky Club
I was excited to experience a Delta Sky Club as I have complimentary access for myself when flying Delta through my American Express Platinum card (PHL will be getting a Centurion Lounge in August 2017). Check-in was a breeze. I scanned my boarding pass and the agent swiped my card.
Every Minute Counts
Lately I’ve been on delayed after delayed flight with United. I even started a single twitter thread where I just keep complaining about SFO-PHL, and PHL-SFO flights being chronically delayed. I started to wonder; is it just me having bad luck or is United getting worse overall with on time departures?
