I showed up to HKG early to explore the lounges here. The new AMEX Centurion lounge is located in the same area as the United Club, THAI Lounge, and some Plaza Premium Lounges. I was a bit nervous as all the Centurion lounges in the US seem to be uncomfortably crowded. I walked towards the lounge and saw the blue doors and American Express logo.
I provided my boarding pass, platinum card, and photo ID and was quickly admitted. Right past the check in desk is a hallways which had a work area, a dedicated conference room, and a phone room. The conference room was always empty and is a good spot to camp out if the main area gets to crowded.
Once you get to the end of the hallway and turn right you’ll be in the main lounge area. There is open seating and most seating areas are near plugs.
There is also a buffet which was serving breakfast which consisted of
The bar also had breakfast breads, cereal and honey. Not to mention, the bar is well stocked.
The lounge also has showers which I didn’t use. There is also a private Centurion room which offers sit down dining.
This was a nice lounge and had a decent spread. Compared to the crowds at US locations this lounge was empty. The food here is definitely better than the adjacent United Club as well.
