Singapore Airlines has begun to refresh their regional product. What use to be angled flat seats in a 2-2-2 configuration has been updated to 1-2-1 on new A350 aircraft. After a quick stay at the SilverKris lounge we heading to the boarding gate.
Date: Saturday January 25
Scheduled Push Back: 2:05 PM
Actual Push Back: 2:08 PM
We boarded and were directed to our seats by the flight crew. The new regional product is a big improvement over the older seats. These seats feature direct aisle access and fully lay flat seats.
To the left of the seat is where the headphones, USB, and electric plug is.
There is also a pull out mirror.
At arm level on the left side is the headphone jack, control paneling got lighting and seat adjustments along with the entertainment remote.
To the right is various lighting controls.
In front of the seat was the in flight entertainment along with a coat hook.
After takeoff the meal service began with a standard crab appetizer.
The menu had three meal options. While there wasn’t a book the cook option for this flight I did pre-order the chicken curry option. The dish definitely wasn’t the best but wasn’t bad.
I took a picture of the avocado ice cream dessert but didn’t have any. However, I did order a cappuccino which was good. I like how the equal packets are SIA branded.
This flight wasn’t anything to write home about. However, Singapore Airlines continues to deliver consistent service which is always good.
