We arrived in domestic terminal 1 from Phu Quoc and walked over to terminal 2. We were quickly checked in and issued our boarding pass and lounge pass. There is no SilverKris lounge in SGN or any Star Alliance airline lounge. However, we were provided passes to a contract lounge which had a nice look but the food wasn’t anything special. About 30 minutes prior to boarding we made our way to the gate.
Boarding was scheduled to begin at 11:35 AM but started around 10 minutes later than that. We walked onboard and found out way to row 15.

This is Singapore Airlines regional business class. However, these planes will eventually be replaced by 787s with a better seating arrangement. Waiting at our seat was a pillow and blanket.
To the left was a plug and USB port.
To the right was the entertainment controls.
Above the entertainment controls were the seat controls.
The entertainment screen features a small stowage compartment underneath.
In the seat back pocket there was menu for today’s flight. Singapore Airlines now let’s you pre-order menu items. Previously there was no reservation option for routes that weren’t part of book the cook.
We taxiied to the runway and took off at 12:33 PM. Shortly after that the seatbelt sign was off and the service started. The service was performed from a cart with wine options along with water.
I went with the stir fried chicken with capsicum in black bean sauce. This was served with a Vietnamese appetizer and a blueberry cream cake. A flight attendant also came around with a selection of bread.
A tea and coffee service followed the meal.
We landed on time and taxiied to the gate.
This was another great flight on Singapore Airlines. The experience on Singapore Airlines is always consistent unlike the US airlines. The service was good and the flight attendants were friendly.
